What smart tools can be used when on internet - access by using the white cirlce at bottom of computer screen
  • screen shade - activate and the shade covers the internet page -
  • spotlight - directs attention to a specific area of the text - use drop down menu on edge of spotlight to set shape and amout of transparency - in order to turn off need to exit
  • I concurr that the screen shade is really cool and has multiple uses. The students love to look ahead, as we all do, so this tool would definitely help to keep all of us on the same topic and the same time.
  • The magnifier would really come in handy because every year there are several students in my class that have difficulty seeing. It is impossible to put all of them in the front of the roomm, so this would really help. In addition, the magnifier would help to keep all of the studnets focused on what is currently being discussed
  • Use floating tools on web sites -
  • My students enjoy coming up to the board to highlight important information as we are looking at a website. This helps my second graders realize what is important information and what is not.
  • I know that I will use the Smart Tools for the Internet . . I didn't realize there was that capability--I think I'll use the screen shade and the spotlight the most!
  • Importing pictures from the Internet to be used with the Smart Board is really cool. The sky is the limit with creativity.
  • The highlighter is a great tool to illustrate to students what they should be paying attention to.
  • Any tools you wish to use on the internet - put on the floating tool bar.
  • The magic pen used on the internet will activate the spot light and magnifier found in the white circle.
  • Having 2 screens open at once, the Internet and Smart Board is great
  • Instead of copying and pasting pictures, you can just drag them over!
